SEC fans are particularly vocal about the pregame parties at their favorite program’s home games.247Sports unveiled a list this weekend of the top 10 tailgates in college football for this season. Their top choice might surprise you. It’s an SEC schools, but it’s not Ole Miss, or LSU. Instead, it is their SEC West rival Auburn. Now, 247Sports came up with these rankings by combining “what we know about the  tailgating experience at various schools” along with the home schedules for each of these teams. That latter part seems to be what put Auburn over the top. It could be a great tailgating year on The Plains. Both of the SEC’s Mississippi teams will visit Auburn. The Tigers will also be home for the final three weeks of the season, as they host arch rivals Georgia and Alabama in that span.Unfortunately, while playing big games against marquee, rival opponents makes for great tailgating, it doesn’t always make for a successful outcome.Auburn will likely be a home underdog against Georgia and Alabama, its two biggest games of the year on The Plains.last_img
