Sadness as diver dies after rescue by Coast Guard and Rescue 118

first_imgA diver who was rescued near Portnablagh on Friday has sadly passed away.The man has been named as John Alwright, a tourist from Bedfordshire who was part of a diving group visiting the county.Malin Head Coast Guard were alerted of a diver in difficulty at 1:45pm on Friday afternoon, with Mulroy Bay Coast Guard and the Sligo-based 118 helicopter rushing to his aid. Gardaí were also on the scene.
